Description
No peeling, no sharpening, no broken tips. The Luxor Crayola Twistable Long Crayons 12 Shades set keeps things simple: twist up to get more colour, twist down to put it away. The plastic barrel protects the crayon from snapping and keeps hands clean, and the 12 classic shades, including Red, Blue, Yellow, Green and Pink, make this a cleaner, longer-lasting alternative to regular wax crayons. ACMI AP Certified and non-toxic, they are made for worry-free colouring.
Benefits Of Our Twistable Long Crayons 12 Shades Set
Here is why parents and kids love this set:
- No Mess, No Breakage: The plastic barrel means these crayons will not snap in a bag or leave colour on hands, making them a much cleaner everyday option than traditional wax crayons.
- Twist Up and Go: Kids do not need a sharpener or an adult to help, so they can just twist and carry on colouring with fewer interruptions.
- Great for School Bags: The slim, compact shape fits neatly in a pencil case, ideal for colouring at school, while travelling or at a friend's house.
- Vibrant Colour Payoff: Despite being mess-free and portable, these crayons still deliver bold, rich colour on paper.
How to Use The Twistable Long Crayons 12 Shades Set
Here are some simple ways to colour and create:
- Twist Up and Colour: Rotate the base gently to reveal the crayon tip, then use it on paper, in coloring books or for school projects.
- Pack for On-the-Go: Tuck the crayons into a pencil case or bag for creative fun anywhere without worrying about mess.
- Layer Colours for New Shades: Press one colour on top of another to discover new tones and experiment with simple colour mixing.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do twistable crayons work and are they easy for kids to use?
Simply twist the base to push the crayon tip upward as it wears down — no peeling, no breaking, no mess. Kids can operate the twist mechanism easily themselves from around age 4 onwards.
Do twistable crayons break as easily as regular wax crayons?
No — because the crayon stays protected inside a plastic casing, it is far less likely to snap compared to a bare wax crayon. This makes twistable crayons much more durable and cost-effective for everyday use.
Are Crayola Luxor Twistable Crayons non-toxic and safe?
Yes — these crayons are made with non-toxic, child-safe materials in line with international safety standards. They are safe for children aged 3 and above for both supervised and independent use.
Can twistable crayons be refilled when they run out?
Twistable crayons cannot be refilled, but each one provides a generous amount of colouring life because the entire length of the crayon is usable with very little waste compared to traditional crayons.
Are these good for detailed colouring and fine lines?
Yes — twist the crayon to expose just a small amount of the tip for more controlled, detailed work. This makes them a great choice for children who enjoy colouring intricate patterns and smaller areas with precision.
